Marqués de la Ensenada

Wow! What an amazing time we have had these last couple of days! Famvin was fantastic, and has left us feeling like we have already had a mini WYD. We have just arrived at our new accomidation at the college of Marqués de la Ensenada. The rooms are realty nice (Mum :-) and there is free Wifi. We have collected our WYD backpacks and travel passes. We hope to return to Famvin this evening for the closing festivities.

A Prayer for WYD 2011

God, our Father,

we place in your hands the preparations

for World Youth Day, Madrid 2011.

Guard and protect Pope Benedict XVI

and all the pastors of your church.

Englighten and guide

all those who are preparing this event.

Give them strength and wisdom

to carry out their task.

May our Vincentian Family

prepare in a profound way

for this ecclesial event.

Lord Jesus Christ, before your ascension,

you promised to be with your church

until the end of time.

Bless and multiply the efforts

of all the volunteers and all those

involved in World Youth Day.

May they be your collaborators

in the work of redemption

so that this event

might ground the young people of Spain

and the world in Christ.

Holy Spirit, Lord and giver of life,

pour forth your grace upon the lands of Spain.

Open the hearts of the people of Spain

so that they might welcome

all the young people who journey to this event.

Grant that all who visit us

might be converted.

Make them firm in faith,

hope and love. Amén.
